Eagle Road Gets Another Stoplight

As of yesterday, there’s now yet another stoplight on Eagle Road.

This one is about halfway between McMillan Road and Ustick Road, at the intersection of Eagle Road and Wainright Drive.

The Idaho Transportation Department says the signal will improve traffic flow and reduce delays.

Am I the only one who’s wondering how stopping motorists more times will help move traffic flow on Eagle Road?

I remember Eagle Road when Eagle Road was a two-lane road with a few stop signs.

The traffic is getting terrible around Eagle road. Not too long ago you could get to 55 mph and go for a while before making a stop now as soon as you speed up you have to stop. Next they are going to lower the speed limit.

    Hi Dana ~
    Thanks for your comment.
I actually think it would be a good idea to lower the speed limit.
55 mph is too fast for the amount of traffic and intersections.
What the heck, it’s already slower than 55 mph much of the time!
